hazards and potential dangers that may have an influence on their well-being.

3. Children may unintentionally expose themselves to various risks if they

are not properly supervised by their parents or guardians, such as cyberbullying,
cyber predators, phishing schemes, malware, inappropriate content, privacy
problems, and disinformation.

4. In view of the foregoing, this office recommends the following to ensure

the online safety of their children and young family members:

a. Use Parental Control software to restrict inappropriate content, block

harmful websites, and monitor children’s behavior online;

b. Limit inappropriate internet access by setting boundaries on the types

of content children can access while browsing the internet;

c. Keep software and applications up-to-date to help reduce the risk of

security breaches and the potential exploitation of security flaws that
could compromise children’s online safety;

d. Educate children about the dangers in the cyber world by the informing
them about cyberbullying, online predators, phishing attempts, and the
importance of protecting personal information;

e. Emphasize the importance of not engaging in conversations or sharing
