1. DepEd Order No. 28 s. 2001: Prohibiting the Commercialization of


the DECS/ DepEd Organization through Endorsements and Accreditation of
Goods and Services
“# 3. Henceforth, there will be no endorsements or accreditation
officially issued or sanctioned by DECS/DepEd. Goods and services must
compete for the attention of all schools, teachers and students, in the ordinary
course of the free market. If there is need or value in the goods and services,
they will be purchased or utilized without the coercive persuasions of DECS
issuances.”

2. DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005: Instituting Measures to Increase


Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith
“#4. E. In-service training programs and write shops/ module-making,
whether organized by the central, regional or division offices as well as the
training component of foreign-assisted projects, requiring attendance of
classroom teachers shall be scheduled during the five-day mid-year break
and during the summer vacation. In the case of school-based or school-cluster
based training program, this may be held preferably on Fridays or on
Weekends.”

Considering the following ordinances, it is recommended that your


company advertise your products directly to schools without the
endorsement or accreditation of this Office. Should the school decide to
procure your services or training, it should be conducted during breaks in
the school year to avoid deviating the teachers’ attention from teaching.

purchased must also be included in the school’s financial plan or supported


by the school’s SEF, MOOE or Canteen Fund.
