I learned to trust my instincts and gut feelings. There will be times when your intuition will lead
you astray, but there will also be times when trying to maintain a logical perspective results in
passing up opportunities or failing to notice signs. Emotions, intuitions, and implicit pattern
recognition skills honed through experience are some of the most powerful competitive
advantages over computers, algos, and other traders. As a result, I began to take risks. Risk
takers are individuals or investors who take on significant risk in the hopes of earning a high rate
of return.
