WEB BASED ONLINE BLOOD BANK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ABSTRACT
Web Based Blood Bank System (WBBS) is a browser based system that is designed to store, process, retrieve
and analyze information concerned with the administrative and inventory management within a blood bank.
The project aims at maintaining the information of blood donors, patients and different blood groups available
in blood bank(stocks). The donors who are interested in donating the blood can register in the website. The
project will not store the blood so no complications in the project. The blood requirement for the patient has to
be requested and we supply the information of the donor. The donors can update their available status whether
they are available or not.
Keywords: Online Blood Donation, Online Blood Requesting, Maintain Database.
I. INTRODUCTION
The Blood Donation Management is to create an Information about the donor and organization that are related
to donating the blood. Through this application any person who interested in donating the blood can register by
himself/herself in the same way if any organization wants to register can register with this site that can also
register. More over any general consumer wants to make blood request online they can also take the help of
this site. Admin has the main authority who can do addition, deletion, and modification if required. This is
designed in aimed to developing an online Blood Donation Information. The entire design has been developed
keeping in view of the distributed customer garcon calculating technology, in mind. The Blood Donation Agent
is to produce ane-Information about the patron and association that are related to giving the blood. Through
this operation any person who's interested in giving the blood can register himself in the same way if any
association wants to register itself with this point that can also register. also if any general consumer wants to
make request blood online he can also take the help of this point. The design has been planned to be having the
view of distributed armature, with centralized storehouse of the database.
II. LITERATURE SURVEY
There are some research on blood bank management. These projects are on blood bank management systems.
Many peoples try to improve their blood bank working in their own ways and these are some them.
A. “Short message service management (SMSM) based blood bank” by G. Muddu Krishna & S. Nagaraju (2016)
[1]. They introduced a system in which services of blood bank will be accessed via SMS. If someone needed
blood, then they have to request for blood via SMS and then system will check for availability of blood and
response will be given by processing module.
B. “Advantages of Web based blood bank system” by Dr. Sharad Maheshwari and Vikas Kulshreshtha [2] They
discusses about beneficiaries of the blood bank management system. They show the advantages and benefits of
blood bank systems.
C. “Blood donation system app” by Anish Hamlin M R; Albert Mayan J (3). Both proposed this system that gives
donor details by GIS and when someone needs blood they can login into their app. They also can contribute
blood by registering themselves in blood bank app.
D. “Android blood bank system” by professor Snigdha, Pratiksha Lokhande, Siddhi Kesar and Pranita further (4)
They came up with android application in which updates information about donor’s time to time and also it
shows all the blood banks near to the user position. In this admin has the all the controls and information of the
app.

E. “Study on blood stock operation system” by A. Clemen Teena, k. Sankar, S. Kannan (5). They made a system
through which they can manage information about donors and cases. So that whenever blood is demanded they
can use this information as blood bank authorized officers have access to this information.
III. PROPOSED SYSTEM
To debug existing system, remove procedures cause data redundancy. To provide information about audits on
the different level and stages, also to reflect current work status depending on auditor or date. To build strong
password mechanism.
Advantages:
System makes overall project management much easier and flexible to use.
• Readily upload to the latest updates, allows user to download the alerts by clicking the url.
• Application provides high level of security with different levels of authentication.
IV. METHODOLOGY
The blood bank management system is a great project this is designed based on the successful completion of
projects on blood bank management system. The aim is to provide blood donation service to the city. Web
Based Blood Bank Management System is a web(Browser) based application that is designed to store, process,
retrieve and analyze information of patients and donors within a blood bank. During an organ transplant,
accidents, cancer treatment etc. blood is required. For blood donation, one needs to check for a donor or needs
to visit blood bank. The Manual Blood donation system has many disadvantages where, it is too time taking
process, often leads to error results, consumes lot of manpower, lacks donor information, retrieval of data
consumes a lot of time, accuracy is less . At time of emergency, it becomes hard to approach the right donor.
Rare blood groups cannot be available all the time at all blood banks and recipients find difficulties to track the
right blood donor.

V. CONCLUSION
Day by day Technology is introducing new innovations, thus reducing the time required to do things. This
proposed system can be used to reduce time required in deliver required blood to the needy in cases of
emergency. An Android application or App can be used by the people interested in donating their blood by
choosing their nearest blood bank. The web application provides a way of communication between the
hospitals and the blood banks.
