ABSTRACT

This thesis research examines the agreements made between courier service
agents and PT Pos Indonesia (the Indonesian Post). The implementation of
partnership agreements between the postal agents and PT Pos Indonesia does not
always run smoothly. There are several operational and non-operational errors,
such as inaccuracies in weighing the shipments, which result in losses. The
research method used is empirical legal research with a factual, sociological, and
legislative approach. The results of this study indicate that postal agents are
subject to sanctions, including compensation and termination of the agreement, in
the event of such negligence. On the other hand, PT Pos Indonesia receives both
preventive and repressive legal protection. Preventive legal protection aims to
prevent negligence, while repressive legal protection includes warnings, sanctions,
and compensation.
