    healing & as an antioxidant agent. Well-known syndromes caused by vitamin C deficiency include scurvy & increased risk for
    atherosclerosis. In case of vitamin C deficiency, the body stores are consumed & depleted first, hence, the time required for onset of
    symptoms of deficiency can be variable depending on the baseline body stores & associated stressful / disease conditions.
