As you work towards the completion of this assignment, please take into account the
following:
1) There are 2 exercises to complete worth a total of 30 points. Each Question worth
15 points.
2) This assignment carries a weight of 20% of your final grade for this course.
3) Please use the space available on the"Assignment 2 " document in order to solve
each and every exercise. You must complete and upload your document in the
respective submission link.
4) If you do not have enough space to answer any exercise please use more papers but
do not forget to upload them.
5) The deadline for this assignment is the end of Week 3.The assignment should be
submitted on the due date (Sunday) by 11.59 p.m. (23:59 hours) VLE (UTC)time at
the latest.
6) It is your responsibility to ensure the timely submission of your assignment as the
usual Unicaf regulations regarding late submission / non-submission will apply.

a) What is the probability P ( X <101.1 ) ?

 2) Find 80%, 85% and 99.9% confidence interval for the sample mean of a
population, if we know that in a random sample of 70 people from the
population, the sample mean is 60 and the standard deviation is 5.
