New abrasion-resistant
glass available
The new ARG – Abrasion Resistant Glass – is now
available for both reactors and parts such as agitators
or outlet valves
Technical glass qualities are used by the
chemical industry for those processes
where other materials fail. Despite
the universal chemical resistance and
comparatively great hardness of classic
chemical glass qualities, they are of
limited use in some processes. Most
of these processes do not only require
chemical resistance, but also an increased
mechanical resistance to abrasion.
Pfaudler has many years of experience
with the reduction of abrasion using
modern agitating systems, and was able
to increase the useful life of its glass lined
apparatus by as much as several years in
some cases – compared to conventional
solutions of other suppliers. Using the
novel, abrasion-resistant ARG glass,
abrasion is now additionally reduced
by the excellent mechanical
properties of this glass type. Pfaudler ARG (+20%) + Modern Cryo-Lock agitator system
More than a year ago, Pfaudler
already performed field experiments

were completed with great success, and the and subsequent field testing of the new glass valves. In one of the next Pfaudler Highlights,
