ABSTRACT

PERSPECTIVAS DE LA MARCHA HUMANA
Given the above, this chapter will describe in detail the normal
ranges of motion for each of the joints involved in gait (hip, knee,
ankle, and upper limbs), information that will serve as guidance for
the correct analysis of the information. obtained in the evaluation
of the gait pattern.
For the ankle, they will be able to show and recognize each of the
movements of this joint and how during each cycle of the gait the
ankle travels during four different arcs of movement with relatively
low arches of mobility.
For the foot joint, the eversion and inversion movements present in
the gait cycle are discriminated, as well as the accessory movements
of the metatarsophalangeal and midtarsal joint.
For the knee joint, the ranges of motion in the sagittal plane as well
as in the coronal and transverse planes will be described, which
facilitate vertical balance and the advancement of the limb in the
different periods of gait.
In the hip, the different movement patterns seen from the trajectory
of the displacement of the thigh from the vertical and pelvic behavior
will be discriminated, correctly evaluating the entire movement
pattern of this joint complex in gait.
