A. Course Design
Course Title: FFS-Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice
Seed
Certification and Farm Mechanization
Nominal Duration :120 HRS.
Qualification Level: 1
Course Description: The PRODUCTION OF HIGH-QUALITY INBRED
RICE AND SEED CERTIFICATION, AND FARM
MECHANIZATION Qualification consists of
competencies that a person must achieve to empower
individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to
exemplify new thinking in the field of Philippine
Agriculture. It focuses on three key components: inbred
rice production, seed production, and farm
mechanization, while integrating the use of information
and communication technology (ICT) tools and services.
Moreover, this course also emphasizes the development
of entrepreneurial skills, allowing students to thrive in the
ever-evolving agricultural landscape.
Trainee Entry
Requirements: Farmers/Trainees who wish to enroll should possess the
following requirements:
Must be a member of the RSBSA and DA accredited
farm association coop or group
Active and practicing rice farmer
Willingness to Participate and ready to work in a
group
Must come same locality (area) preferably from the
area of the farm school
Must be willing to share experiences
Willing to be tapped by the LGU and RCEF related
agencies for future engagements

Qualification of
Instructors/Trainees: It shall be conducted in farm schools with
graduates of RSTC and TOT courses and specialists
from RCEF implementing agencies as resource
persons and facilitators under a TESDA’s scholarship
scheme.
