¾ Manufacturer/Contractor to be noted that this is a conditional approval subject of satisfying


all the below comments prior to commitment and any material delivery on site.
¾ Contractor/manufacturer shall held the full responsibility of material rejection and material
removal from site if failing to satisfy the below comments or ignoring them without any
liability or obligation on engineer or employer and without any extra time or cost.
¾ Required complete material submittal revision as clean copy covering all comments not
only replies on this revision comments, prior to any Commitment. Comment by comment
reply shall provide:
Mechanical Comments
TECHNICAL COMMENTS.
1. Entering/Leaving air temperature should be DB/WB not DB/RH and the values shall be
matching with the mentioned in the specified schedules for all towers (REV-02 Noted).

2. For The E.S.P (pa) values mentioned in the comparison sheet between specified and
offered, Manufacturer to clarify what is meaning of 20÷200 (REV-02 Noted).

3. Clarify the reason of conflict for air flow between specified and offered values for towers
C-01,02,03,04,011,012 for chilled water and DX units(REV-02 Noted,however it is the
contractor responsibility coordination the conflict with the duct sizes wherever applicable)

4. Contractor requested to coordinate with actual Electrical equipment regarding its heat
dissipation inside the rooms which include CRAC unit and ensure that the design capacity
covering this actual heat dissipation Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to
commitment

5. Contractor/manufacturer required to provide summarized schedule showing (CRAC unit no., airflow
rate, external static pressure, entering/leaving air temperatures, water flow rate, flow direction, fans
power input, entering/leaving water temperatures, cooling capacity, Noise level, motor power, unit
dimensions…etc.) as per the IFC versus actual selection. (Noted).

6. Contractor/manufacturer requested to provide a break down schedule of Equipment with all its
accessories/components (Material List) delivered at site with full detail for each
component/accessory as selected (Noted).

7. All Proposed/selected models should be matched with the required entering/leaving temperatures
and total load in coil as per design schedules (Noted as per section no 1, But missing coil no
of fins per inch) (REV-03, The reply Should highlighted in the data sheet).

8. Proposed units with single refrigerant circuit are not accepted (Noted as per section 1).

9. Provide list of recommended spare parts (Noted as per section no 9).

10. Air discharge type should be matched with the required in the design schedules (Noted as per
section no 1).

11. Contractor should study and coordinate the location of heat rejection units and provide proper
Ventilation for condensing unites (Supplier/Manufacturer shall check and confirm location of
condensing units and provide installation recommendations) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be
submitted prior to commitment)

12. The contractor must submit calculations for capacity of CRAC unit based on actual heat emission
from each room equipment to ensure and validate the design capacity (The comment still valid,
Contractor shall confirm officially) Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to
commitment

13. The contractor is responsible for verifying specified noise criteria in design concept report (45 dBA)
and the contractor must submit solutions to verify the required NC (The comment still valid, the
provided NC 53 not accepted) (REV-03,Reply is not accepted Contractor shall stick to the
design requirement refer to report No. E18066/0100D-0105D-CD-RPT-PM-01-Rev.0 Clause
2.1.3.4.1 Background Noise Criteria (NC)

14. Provide external static pressure calculations for all quoted units based on approved shop drawing
(The comment still valid, Contractor shall confirm officially) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be
submitted prior to commitment)

15. Selection of each unit should include a detailed construction drawing (Comment still valid,
Contractor/Manufacturer shall submit these drawings and get approval prior any delivery, it
is their responsibility) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to commitment).

16. Provide detailed coordinated shop drawings for CRAC unit and room furniture (Comment still
valid, Contractor/Manufacturer shall submit these drawings and get approval prior any
delivery, it is their responsibility) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to
commitment).

17. Interface with BMS system should verified according to BMS requirements (Noted as per section
no 13) (REV-03, Refer to BMS Comments below).

18. Installations works on site will be implemented under supervision of Montair representative,
installations works must be coordinated with electrical and Architectural Drawings, detailed
drawings should be submitted to ensure that selected/proposed units can be accommodate in
available space with connections considering space and access for proper maintenance
(Comment still valid, need confirmation officially from Montair agent and Contractor) (REV-
03, Noted).

19. Contractor/manufacturer is requested to submit sequence of operation (Noted as per section no


15).

20. Contractor/manufacturer is requested to provide a detailed CRAC unit hock-up connection for
approval (Shall be submitted by contractor and coordinated with the manufacturer, comment
still valid) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to commitment)

21. Airflow capacity, leaving air conditions, humidifier type, and reheat electric capacity shall
be complying with the design equipment schedule, Manufacturer to check and revise
accordingly (REV-03,Noted).

22. Manufacturer has to submit the manufacturer computer selection for units for approval,
besides that this computer selection software should be certificated (REV-03,The reply not
accepted, Comment still valid).

23. The submitted catalogues and data sheet does not reflect the unit’s construction regarding
everything (panel thickness, coil construction, no. of fins, fans construction, filter construction and
efficiency (REV-03, Noted).

24. A schedule is required clarifying all the proposed types referenced to their tags as per the
drawings, complete with their electrical power requirements (Voltage & Load), as we noticed a big
different between the design power rating VS the proposed units rating ,The new Kw capacity for
reheat coil and Fans to be coordinated with electrical drawings (REV-03, Coordination is the
Contractor responsibility and to get approval prior any commitment) .
GENERAL COMMENTS
1. Contractor/manufacturer requested to stick with specification requirements and submit complete
compliance statements Clause by Clause and to avoid material rejection. Besides that, statements
like “out of scope” or “contractor scope” or “by others” are not accepted (The comment still valid,
the compliance shall be in table showing all items comply by contractor and manufacturer,
all items mentioned with extra cost is not accepted like Warranty ….etc.,the offer shall
include all items) (REV-03, Noted).
2. Each compliance point should be supported with reference document and indicated in compliance
sheet (Noted in sections 6,7,8,10&11).
3. Contractor/manufacturer is requested to submit the units of each tower separately to avoid any
misleading and to ease process of reviewing and acceptance (Noted).
4. Contractor/manufacturer to check/assure that coils flowrate and pressure drop of the selected units
are satisfying and/or matching with system hydraulic pump calculation (flowrate & pressure drop)
(To be confirmed by the contractor officially and coordinated with manufacturer prior
commitment and material delivery at site) (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be submitted prior to
commitment).
5. Euro-vent, certificate for each proposed model should provide (Rev.03 Still Valid and to be
submitted prior to commitment).
6. Provide warranty Certificate and should fulfill the requirements in specifications section 238123
clause (1.7). REV-03 warranty sample shall be completely matching with the specifications
requirements and to be for 5 years and shall match the following requirements.
a) The warranty has to be counter signed by the manufacturer, fabricator, installer and Contractor.
b) The manufacturer, installer and Contractor should be jointly and severally responsible. The
responsibilities of the Main contractor and subcontractor should not be segregated; it is one
warranty document to be submitted.
c) Warranty should indicate the specific Part number and Serial Number (where applicable) of the
materials and elements which will be installed in the Project and covered by the said warrantee
in the final version.

d) The warranty should state the time for intervention is within 24 hours and repair after the date
of notification of the defect. The Guarantor must arrange for repairs under this Contract with
the Employer to start at the earliest and Guarantor will intervene immediately and without delay
as allowed by the Employer after a claim has been made, and the repair time must not be
unreasonably prolonged. Guarantor will arrange supply of all materials and applications.
e) The warranty should include removing and replacing construction and other work that conceals
the defected works, as and where required in the specifications.
f) Grantee Period shall start from the substantial completion of the project and the issuance of
the Taking over Certificate.
g) No exclusions are accepted.
h) The Guarantor shall cover all materials and workmanship necessary for repair/replace the
defected under the responsibility of the Guarantor.
i) The Guarantor shall be liable for any consequential damage, auxiliary service and the like
associated with repair work, and Contractors employees, agents, operators or any and all other
persons, or to any other parts of the object or its equipment or accessories; loss of or damage
to products and/or production, and all claims by third parties against the Employer of
whatsoever nature and howsoever arising.
j) All repairs will be done on Guarantors co
7. Construction details and corrosion prevention could not be detected (Noted as per section 4).
8. The contractor/manufacturer have to coordinate for the interface with the fire alarm system during
the fire incidents (REV-03, Noted).
9. Provide the maximum equivalent length for the refrigerant pipes between the indoor unit and
condensing unit, contractor to check the distance between both of them ,if any conflict between the
actual length at the site and maximum recommended length by manufacturer this will be the
contractor responsibility ( Rev.03 Contractor shall confirm by shop drawings that the required
pipe length is not exceeding the allowable 100m length as per manufacturer
recommendation.)
BMS Comments:

1- Each unit shall interface with BAS system via BACnet Protocol
2- Supplier shall confirm to provide the required interface module with BAS as a part of his scope
3- Supplier shall provide BAS interface points subject to Latest approved IFC drawings #E18066-
0101D-FD-01-A01-MH-8-00-013
4- Detailed wiring shall be provided highlighted the BAS hardware / software interface points
5- BAS interface points shall highlighted in the submitted catalogues
6- Catalog of BAS Interface modules shall be provided
7- Coordination with BAS system is must and under supplier responsibility to fulfill the interface
requirements
Electrical Comments:

1. Provide selection summary table showing each unit tag number and the relevant electrical data
(proposed load vs design load, the submitted power/current, starting method, use below table for
guidance: (REV-03, however contractor is requested to update all CB ratings in shop
drawings & panel schedules ,based on proposed load.

2. Submit full compliance statement for Motor specification section 220513. (REV-03, Noted).

3. Provide full technical data of all proposed motors/Blowers including manufacture origin, service
duty, efficiencies, ratings, starting current, locked rotor current, full load current, power factor,
ambient temperatures etc. with marking up complete motor catalogue. (REV-03, Noted).

4. Confirm that Motors are Class F insulation with maximum temperature rise not exceeding class B
limits (80ºC) above average ambient temperature. (REV-03, Noted).

5. All submitted motors shall be Premium efficiency to NEMA MG1 or class IE3 to IEC 60034-30 as
per technical specification section 220513 clause 2.2-A. (REV-03, Noted, however provide IEC
reference for the submitted comparison table-2, indicating the requirements for IE2 & IE3
usage recommendation.

6. Confirm that maximum permissible starting current is 5 to 6.3 times the Full Load Current (FLC)
as stipulated in section 220513. (REV-03, Noted).

7. Provide Motor Service Factor. (REV-03, Noted).

8. Indicate the type of winding thermal protection devices (where applicable). (REV-03, Noted).

9. Submit Power-wiring diagram for all proposed CRACs types. (REV-03, Noted).
