II. CHAPTERS
1. CHAPTER ONE: Your fitness for a business environment
a. Business awareness
- Business awareness is one of the fundamental talents that employers typically regard as
valuable, but that far too many graduates lack.
- What exactly do recruiters mean by "business awareness"? If you ask a variety of
different employers, you will most likely get a variety of replies. However, many
employers in the commercial, governmental, and voluntary sectors believe that corporate
perception typically falls into two categories:
Professional knowledge
Understand the job-related tasks, abilities, and characteristics needed to
succeed in these activities.
Understanding of the business environment
Understand the operation and background of an organization, firm, or
economic sector. How are local, national, and global politics and
economics influencing it?
b. Personal traits
- One of the characteristics that distinguishes high-potential employees from others is their
capacity to be more productive, completing more tasks with less resources or in less time.
Employees with a lot of potential are distinct in that they are actively engaged in what the
firm is doing, its strategy, values, and basic goals, and they want to see it succeed.
- I have an excellent work ethic. Effort ethic is your dedication to the importance of
diligence and hard work. Work ethic is highly valued by many businesses and companies
since it increases productivity, which leads to higher sales and profits. I believe I am a
person who effortlessly adjusts to new situations. The capacity and willingness to adjust
to change is referred to as flexibility. Many organizations like to recruit people who are
flexible in their professional and personal lives, especially in fast-paced or dynamic
sectors.
c. Experience
- I worked part-time in a Starbucks coffee, where I learned more about business and
acquired additional experience. The capacity to communicate was the first thing I learnt.
Whatever job you pursue, the ability to communicate with coworkers, trade and
collaborate in work, and report to superiors is an essential talent. This is one of the most
critical talents to have if you work in customer service. The secret to developing loyal
consumers and boosting the business's image is to treat clients with respect and politeness.
- The second thing I learnt was how to properly manage my time. Effective time
management is a necessary ability for most occupations and one that companies value.
They want their staff to understand how to work and prioritize their tasks in order for the
machine to function efficiently.

III. CONCLUSION
- After taking this course, I will be able to acquire experience in my current profession
while also opening up other opportunities that I would not have explored previously. As a
consequence of the educational possibilities offered by teachers, I have gained a better
understanding of the fundamentals of marketing, human resources, and how to prepare
reflective reports. What I didn't know at the time was how many connections these
concepts have in business. Any administrative position will need a thorough
understanding of these concepts. I realized that the strategic concepts that intersected with
each of these areas were the most beneficial to me. I have, however, taken the first step
toward a bright future.
