A DAY IN THE SUMMER

Last summer we went to visit my grandparents in Palenque, when we arrived all

my cousins were there: George, Maite, Lily and Carlos. and everyone had their
bikes and skateboards there.

I was very excited, I got off as soon as I could to greet them, then we went to my
grandfather's yard to skate since no one had skated since we all went to university.
After that, we realized that we had grown too big that we no longer went into the
yard, so Maite came up with the idea of going out skating in the street, I had never
skated outside, that is, in the street but I did. I denied while my cousin George
didn't want to go out with us, like he knew something was going to happen to us.
At that moment, we grabbed our backpacks and skateboards and ran away like
children. At first I was afraid to jump on the sidewalks, because I hadn't ridden my
skateboard in a long time.
We were going at full speed when suddenly my cousin Lily lost her balance and fell
off her skateboard and we all stopped to help. I saw that her knee started to bleed,
then we tried to get him up and he couldn't stand, then my cousin Carlos took a
good look at her knee and realized that she had slipped.
My cousin Maite, his little sister, was very scared, well I was too. We didn't even
know what to do, then I thought about her parents, they are very strict.
Finally, my cousin Carlos and I reacted and we returned by taxi because we were
far away from my grandfather's house.
When we arrived we tried to explain to my uncle what had happened but he didn't
want to listen to us. I took his daughter with a boner and for this reason I stopped
skating.

After a few weeks my cousin called me, telling me that it wasn't that serious and
that she shouldn't worry me.
