Laboratory Exercise
Flight Information Displays
Objective:

At the end of the exercise, the students should be able to:

▪ Generate flight information displays using the Amadeus system.

Materials:

▪ Internet connection

Basic Principles:

The Amadeus central system is a Global Distribution System (GDS). This means that all players in the travel
industry, such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies, railways, cruise companies, and insurance companies,
can display all travel offers and any travel-related services in one (1) place. All potential customers, such as
travel agencies, travel management companies, online travel agencies (OTAs), airline sales offices, and airline
websites can see all travel content easily and access the same information in real-time.

Procedures:
1. Log on to the Amadeus selling platform using your credentials.

2. Practice all transaction commands discussed in 05 Handout 1. Follow your instructor’s demonstration. Call
the attention of your instructor if you have any questions.

3. Generate information about the following items/scenarios using the system. Write your responses in the
space provided.
