As the audience watched the entire film, they may recognize some codes: Symbolic
Codes, Written Codes, and Technical Codes. And in this movie review, the readers
will encounter the elaboration for each of the code that was utilized in the movie.

Starting with the Symbolic code, there are two symbols that were seen. Firstly, in
the resolution part, there was a scene at the fountain wherein the main characters:
Ely and Celine are having their moment of farewell for each other. Their tears falling
from their eyes represents sadness and pain. It gave a gloomy vibe that contributes
to the context of goodbyes they are having with each other. Second, from the
particular scene at the fountain, Ely was wearing a white polo shirt. This shade
symbolizes peace and new beginnings. Goodbyes are equivalent to new hello’s. It
gave the audience a transition into the new chapters of the main characters.
On the other hand, written code was also seen in the movie from a scene where Ely
found Celine’s diary. In that book, he found a context stated as "I hate myself!
Ahhhh! Ayoko na! Araaay!". It implicates an emotion of someone who is giving up.
Ely and his brother thought of it as a suicidal note and that Celine will have an
attempt of taking her own life at the train station where they met her.

Lastly, various aspects of Technical codes appeared in the film. In terms of the
cinematic lighting and filtration, the director utilized a dull and balmy concept. This
is to maintain the concept of the movie which depicts a genre of Romance and
Drama. For the camera angles, the film-maker has decided to use techniques such as
extreme close-up shots, to give emphasis to the intimate scenes of the main
characters, and extreme long view, to showcase the scenery of Barcelona as the
setting.
