I. Objective
At the end of the activity, the students should be able to:
1. Determine the modified feature of the seed or fruit and the condition this feature is well
adapted to.

II. Materials
Seeds of plants listed below.

III. Procedures
1. Gather the fruits and seeds mentioned below. Images can be used if the fresh specimen is not
available.
2. Study as to how the modified features are adapted to the following:
a. Violent discharge or explosive mechanism
Examples: Luecaena leucocephala (ipil-ipil)
Impatiens balsamina
Ricinus communis (tañgan-tañgan)
b. Wind
Spinifex sp.
Tilia sp.
Dipterocarpus sp.
