Mycoflex 4200 PG ( Previously known as Mycoflex 4000 VE AE)

Polysulphide-based, self- levelling joint sealant

Product Properties
• Two-component joint sealant based on liquid polysulphide polymer.
• Highly resistant to chemicals (see the table of resistances).
• Vertical grade, multi-component joint sealant.
• Excellent adhesion.

Areas of Application
• Recommended for sealing expansion joints and construction joints (stress relieving joints) in floors
industrial floors, car parks, reservoirs, subway etc.
• Elastic sealing of horizontal movement-joints with increased chemical impact due to liquid chemicals.

Application
Construction Prerequisites Mixing
Joint-design and dimension in compliance with DIN The base- and hardener-component must be mixed

application. Avoid ponding at the base of the joint.
Whenever excess porosity is encountered an
additional coat is recommended. Allow the primer
to become touch dry, before proceeding with the
application of Mycoflex 4200 PG.
Any primed areas not sealed within 3 hours of
primer application should be re-primed 30 minutes
prior to the sealant application.
The closed-cell polyethene round-profile Mycoflex-
Joint filler PE is inserted as back filler. The joint
depth must be limited to approx. 50 % of the width,
however, it should be at least 10 mm, if a back filler
cannot be inserted, a three-side-adhesion must be
prevented, e.g. by inserting a polyethene-strip.
