Necropsy
It is the study of the body of a dead animal
in order to clarify the causes of its death. In
the case of the pigs, the necropsies are
normally performed at the farm, although
sometimes, the body of the dead animal is
sent to a specialized laboratory. In order to
perform a good necropsy, we must inspect
the outer and the inner appearance of the
animal. This implies opening it in order to
study the possible internal abnormalities.
