Alvin Toffler (1928–2016) was an American writer and futurist whose list of
bestselling books includes Future Shock, The Third Wave, and Powershift.

EARLY LIFE
Alvin Toffler was born in New York City on October 4, 1928 and raised in
Brooklyn. He was the son of Rose (Albaum), a Polish Jew who immigrated to
America, and Sam Toffler, a furrier. He had one sister. He was inspired to
become a writer when he was seven by his uncle and aunt, who lived with
the Toffler family.

CONTRIBUTIONS EDUCATION
