“The amount and frequency of fertilizer used by farmers in Zamboanga City can vary widely
depending on the type of crops they are cultivating, the specific soil conditions, and the farming
practices employed. Different crops have varying nutrient requirements, and soil tests are often
conducted to determine the specific nutrient needs of the soil.

As a general guideline, farmers typically apply fertilizers in specific quantities per hectare or per
square meter of land. Common fertilizers used in agriculture contain varying proportions of nitrogen
(N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), and farmers adjust the application rates based on the nutrient
content of the fertilizer and the crop's requirements.”
