Our PROJECTS
FEEDKC
Year 3

OPPORTUNITY:
35 million tons of edible food is wasted per year, yet 1 in 6 people go hungry every night in the United States. We
found that hunger is not a supply issue, but a distribution issue.

Our team built a platform to connect those with surplus food to those who face food insecurity. The new FeedKC.us
web application redistributes still-edible food from businesses to food banks.

DART OPPORTUNITY:
Year 1 Kansas City's public transportation is lacking in connectivity, efficiency, and reliability.
In fact, only 18.3 percent of jobs in the region are accessible by transit within 90
minutes, which is detrimental to job seeking and low-income commuters.

SOLUTION:
Our team up-cycles traditional bikes into affordable, high-quality e-bikes. Selling this
service allows us to finance the provisioning of target, reduced-rate e-bikes to qualified
applicants at a 2-to-1 ratio, empowering upward mobility through personal mobility.

GENERATION GREEN
Year 1

OPPORTUNITY:

At the same time, teachers need affordable and long-lasting school supplies for their classrooms.
