The Odyssey of the Seas

Today I will talk about one of the largest ships in the world. I will also discuss here,
what is inside this ship,how many passengers the ship hold, how much fee for a trip on this
ship and other detail about this ship.
The Ship that I’m talking about is the Odyssey of the Seas the second Quantum Ultra-
class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International the second newest ship out of the
Royal Caribbean Fleet, and primarily operates in the Caribbean out of Port Everglades.
Odyssey of the Seas was the first ship to include the big text for its logo on the side of the
ship, representing the “bigger and bolder” Royal Caribbean

Planning
On 3 November 2015, Royal Caribbean entered into an agreement with Meyer Werft for a
fifth Quantum-class ship, Scheduled to be delivered in April 2021, it was given the name,
Odyssey of the Seas, on 1 February 2019. On 12 September 2019, it was announced that
Odyssey of the Seas would homeport at Port Everglades.
Construction
Construction began with the steel cutting ceremony on 1 February 2019. The kneel was laid
on 3 May 2019. The coin ceremony was announced on the same day, featuring a coin being
placed under the first block out of 79 total blocks of the vessel. Odyssey of the Seas floated
out of Meyer Werft’s shipyard on 28 November 2020. On 14 March 2021, Meyer Werft
announced the start of sea trials in the North Sea, and she finished her trials on 25 March
2021.
Dining venues

Now let’s talk about the dining venues, a variety of dining options are available on Odyssey
of the Seas, giving visitors access to a variety of gastronomic delights. The Teppanyaki,
which serves Asian cuisine prepared in the traditional Japanese way, is one of the onboard
dining options. The menu of Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar features rustic Italian
fare like hand-tossed pizzas, charcuterie, wines and limoncellos.Additionally, passengers
have a choice between a five-course, opulent meal at Chef’s Table and classic steakhouse fare
at Chop’s Grille. The ship also offers Wonderland, Sorrento’s, El Loco Fresh, Windjammer,
and Izumi as additional dining options.

Entertainment on Odyssey

Odyssey of the Seas features SeaPlex , an indoor amusement area with an engaging arcade on
the upper level, is a highlight of the Odyssey of the Seas. The arcade has augmented reality
walls and floors in addition to VR games. On the basement level of SeaPlex’s Playmakers
Sports Bar and Arcade, laser tag and other activities are performed while customers watch
sports on television or play arcade games. Additionally, visitors have access to a two-level
pool deck with two open-air, resort-style swimming pools and four whirlpools. The Flow
Rider surf simulator, Sky Pad bungee trampoline with VR headset, and RipCord by iFly
skydiving simulator are additional attractions on the cruise ship. The North Star glass
capsule, meanwhile, is built to offer 360-degree views from 300 feet above sea level.The
Music Hall has a dance floor and an auditorium.

The ship offers 2,137 passenger cabins with a choice of four stateroom types: interior,
ocean view, balcony, and virtual balcony. While the Ocean View guestrooms offer views of
the ocean and the surroundings, the Interior bedrooms offer a variety of facilities. Ocean
View staterooms with 119 square feet of space and enough for up to four people are located
on the third deck. Ocean views are available from the balconies of the guestrooms with
balconies. While this is happening, passengers who choose the technologically advanced
Virtual Balcony cabins can watch the scenery on real-time floor-to-ceiling displays. The
Royal suite class accommodations on Odyssey of the Seas are likewise divided into three
categories, Sky, Sea, and Star, each with its own exclusive services and facilities.
