1. 141st International
Olympic Committee meeting
will be held in India
 After successfully hosting the
meeting of G-20 members in the
national capital New Delhi, India
will now host the 141st
International Olympic Committee
(IOC) meeting at the Jio World
Center in Bandra Kurla Complex in
Mumbai.
 The 141st IOC OC session will be
organized in Mumbai from 15 to 17

Reliance Foundation

with Reliance Foundation for the
success of the Olympic Values
Education Program (OVEP) in India.

4. IMF increased India's growth
rate estimate to 6.3%
 The International Monetary Fund
(IMF) has increased India's growth
rate estimate for the current
financial year from 0.2 percent to
6.3 percent. The international
financial agency in July had
projected a growth rate of 6.1
percent for 2023-24.
 The new growth rate estimated by
the IMF is less than the 6.5 percent
estimated by the RBI for the
current financial year. India's
growth rate is expected to be
higher than that of China, the
world's second largest economy.
 However, the IMF has reduced the
global growth rate estimate to 3
percent in calendar year 2023.
Global growth rate will slow further
to 2.9 percent in 2024.

 IMF's 'World Economic Outlook'
has reduced China's growth
forecast by 0.2 percent for 2023 and
0.3 percent for 2024 to 5 percent
and 4.2 percent respectively. The
slowdown in the real estate market
and low investment have played a
major role in reducing the growth
forecast.
 Last week, the World Bank had
maintained India's growth forecast
for the current financial year at 6.3
percent on the back of strong
services activity despite adverse
global conditions.
 Last month, the Asian
Development Bank (ADB) had
slightly reduced India's growth
forecast for the current financial
year to 6.3 percent. The
Organization for Economic Co-
operation and Development (OECD)
has increased its GDP growth
estimate from 6 percent to 6.3
percent.

International Monetary Fund were
