Virtual interactive session with Export related
Certification/ Associations
A Virtual interactive session was chaired by Ms. Mercy Epao,
CMD-NSIC & JS-SME, Ministry of MSME with Export related
Certification Bodies/ Associations on 15.02.2023 to create
awareness about the CBFTE scheme subcomponent, being
implemented by NSIC viz “Reimbursement of Fee paid on
Testing & Quality Certification acquired by MSEs to Export
Products” amongst the Micro & Small enterprises applying
for export certification in their respective organizations and
encourage them to avail the benefit of this scheme. Around
15 senior officials from different boards such as Tea Board,
Spice Board, Coffee Board, Tobacco Board, BIS and office
bearers of Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium
Businesses and Indian Chamber of International Business
participated in the interactive session where they shared
their suggestions and appreciated the initiative of Ministry of
MSME and NSIC for the development of MSEs.

Virtual meeting b/w NSIC & Russian National

Union of Educational Equipment Industry (NSPPO)
in association with RSMB Corporation, Russia
A virtual meeting was held on 17.02.2023 between NSIC and
Russian National Union of Educational Equipment Industry
(NSPPO) in association with RSMB Corporation, Russia to
discuss the possible cooperation areas between the two
organizations. NSPPO showed its interest in Indian SMEs
which are engaged in the production of educational
equipment and training tools in the field of robotics,
mechatronics, artificial intelligence, etc. and creating
components that can be used in NSPPO’s products.

01. NSIC Signs MoU for cooperation with

Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), 03 NTSC (Rajkot) signed MoU with
South Korea Gujarat Knowledge Society
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for NTSC (Rajkot) has signed a MoU with with

renewal of cooperation in the field of MSMEs has Gujarat Knowledge Society. The MoU was

been signed between National Small Industries signed by Shri Upender Kumar Kohli, ĢM, NSIC

Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), CPSE under the Ministry of and Shri Thushar Rawal, additional CEO,

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Director of Technical Education for imparting

Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) of training to Diploma and degree colleges for 29

Republic of Korea on 27th February, 2023 in Udyog courses. The MoU has been entered for a period

02. Ministry of MSME signed MoU with

Directorate General of Foreign Trade

The Ministry of MSME has signed MoU with

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on
08.02.2023 to enable a framework for electronic
message exchange (API-based) between DGFT
and Ministry of MSME to identify potential
export-import entities within the MSME
ecosystem.

 MSME SAMBANDH - Public Procurement Policy

Implementation of Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small enterprises is monitored
through ‘MSME SAMBANDH’ portal Up to 28.02.2023, the procurement details of Central Public

MSME SAMPARK

MSME SAMPARK portal is a digital platform wherein jobseekers (passed out trainees/students of
Tool Rooms & Technical Institutions) and recruiters get connected. Progress of SAMPARK portal for
the month of February, 2023 (as on 23.02.2023) is given below:

Self Reliant India (SRI) Fund

As reported by NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited (NVCFL), 36 Daughter funds have been
empanelled under the SRI Fund and under the aegis of NVCFL (Mother Fund), financial assistance
has been provided to 142 potential MSME beneficiaries by the Daughter funds so far.

Rs. 36.80 crore was released to NVCFL during the month of February, 2023. During the current FY
2022-23 (from 01.04.2022 to 23.02.2023), Rs. 249.7 crore was released to NVCFL.

Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE)

As on 23.02.2023, as per the data provided by CGTMSE, 71,428 guarantees have been approved
involving an amount of Rs. 6,499 crore during February, 2023.
During FY 2022-23 (from 01.04.2022 to 23.02.2023), a total of 10.2 lakh guarantees involving an amount
of Rs. 88,138 crore have been approved.

 Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)

During February, 2023, Margin Money Subsidy of Rs. 434.10 crore was disbursed by Banks under
PMEGP, which will facilitate setting up of 12,091 micro enterprises creating employment of around
96,728 persons

Capacity Building and Augmentation

Training & Placement:

• 258 trainees trained by MSME Tool Rooms & Technical Institutions [Central Tool Room & Training
Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar, Indo Danish Tool Room (IDTR), Jamshedpur, Indo German Tool Room
(IGTR), Aurangabad, Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad] have been placed in
various enterprises located at Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, Maharashtra and Punjab.

• 36,815 persons have been imparted skill training through various organizations under the Ministry
viz., Tool Rooms & Technical Institutions, New Technology Centres established under Technology
Centre Systems Programme (TCSP), National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Ltd., Khadi and
Village Industries Commission (KVIC), National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
(ni-msme) and Coir Board during the month of February, 2023.

• As on 21.02.2023, under the ‘Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme’ (ESDP) scheme, 289
programmes were conducted benefitting 12,889 persons during the month of February, 2023.

Tool Room & Training Centre (TRTC), Guwahati had undertaken following major activities during
the month of February, 2023:

• Trained 1,743 candidates in various NCVT/SCVT Certificate and Diploma courses such as Machinist,
Turner, Welder, Computer Hardware & Network Management, Steel Fabrication, Plumber, CNC
Machining, CAD/CAM, PLC, Auto CAD & Catia etc.
• Rendered services to 78 units including MSMEs by manufacturing tools & components.
• 202 trainees have been placed in different industries of Assam.

Assistance and Handholding

18 Tool Room & Technical Institutions spread across the country are providing trained personnel
assisting MSMEs for various job works, testing & calibration, consultancy services such as designing
and manufacturing of dies and tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures, CAD/CAM, etc. 3,191 units were
assisted by these Tool Room & Technical Institutions during the month of February, 2023.

Extension Centres

35 locations for ECs have been approved, out of which, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of 26 ECs
have been approved. 18 ECs have started training/assisting MSMEs. In the month of February 2023,
2,987 trainees were trained and 32 MSMEs were assisted by these ECs.

 MSME Champions Scheme

• MSME Champions Scheme has been formulated with three components namely,
‘MSME-Sustainable’ (ZED), ‘MSME-Competitive’ (LEAN) and ‘MSME-Innovative’ (Incubation, Design,
IPR). Digital MSME will be interlinked with all other components of the Scheme.

• Rs. 1.88 crore released to Quality Council of India (QCI) for promotion and implementation of
‘MSME Sustainable-ZED’ scheme in NER region during the month February, 2023.

• Second ‘Project Monitoring and Advisory Committee’ (PMAC) meeting of ‘MSME Competitive
(Lean)’ Scheme was held on 21.02.2023.

National Seminar cum Exhibition on “Scope for growth &
Development of MSMEs”
National Seminar cum Exhibition on “Scope for growth & Development of
MSMEs” was organised by the Ministry of MSME at Kankavali, Sindhudurg,
Maharashtra from 19-21st February, 2023. Hon’ble Minister, MSME
inaugurated “National Seminar-cum-Exhibition on Scope for Growth &
Development of MSMEs” on 19.02.2023 at Kankavli, District Sindhudurg,
Maharashtra. On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister launched a ‘Booklet on
Schemes of the Ministry of MSME in Marathi’. More than 100 MSMEs and
Central Government Organizations displayed their products and services
in the event, which witnessed participation of more than 500 delegates
including MSMEs, prospective entrepreneurs, MSME Associations,
Bankers, Self Help Groups’ members etc. Distribution of certificates to
beneficiaries of ‘National Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Hub’ Scheme,
trainees of ‘Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme’ and
distribution of Charkhas were held as part of the seminar. During the
event, 25 SC/ST successful entrepreneurs who had availed benefits under
National SC-ST Hub and 1 SC/ST candidate who had undertaken training
under National SC-ST Hub, were felicitated by the Hon’ble Minister.

 Mega MSME Conclave

Rajkot, Gujarat on 24.02.2023 in the
august presence of Shri Mohanbhai
Kalyanji Kundariya, Hon'ble M.P. (Lok
Sabha), Rajkot and Shri Rambhai
Harjibhai Mokariya, Hon'ble M.P. (Rajya
Sabha). The event witnessed
participation from 500 MSMEs, during
which 12 MSMEs of Gujarat certified with
Gold and Silver level ‘ZED’ (Zero Defect
Zero Effect) certification were felicitated.
Buyer-Seller meet was also held
between Defence, AeroSpace
organizations, other Government
organizations and MSMEs, alongwith
display of products.
