A/ The reasons :
1/
2/ Fear of missing out (FOMO)
Teens often find themselves isolated in discussions about new trends that they are
unfamiliar with or have never participated in. They may feel obligated to keep up
with the latest trends, events, and news on social media. To reduce FOMO, teens
can use social media more frequently and intensely to stay connected and
informed.
3/ Escaping from the real world
Today's teenagers confront numerous stressors in their lives, including academic
pressure, familial strife, peer pressure, bullying, and mental health issues. As a
result, they require a stress-relieving environment, and social media is a great
platform for meeting this need by allowing teens to establish and explore alternate
identities, express their emotions, seek support, and get approval from others.
