Kabuhayan, Kaayusan at Kinabukasan”
III. Objectives 1. To raise awareness about the critical role of
science and technology in improving health,
livelihood, order, and the future of society.
2. To build up learner’s confidence through
innovative competition;
3. To encourage students to actively participate
in the activities.

IV. Description of Activity
1. Quiz Bee
OBJECTIVES:
1. To identify and recognize outstanding individuals who demonstrate exceptional
knowledge and aptitude in Science and Math related subjects;
2. To engage and motivate students and young to participate in science and math related
activities.
MECHANICS:
1. Each category will be participated by students who are registered for the competition.
2. The quiz bee is divided into three categories: Easy round, Average round, Difficult
Round.
3. Each round will have ten (10) questions.
a. For the easy round, every question is equivalent to 2 points
b. For the Average round, every question is equivalent to 5 points
c. For the difficult round, every question is equivalent to 10 points.
4. The participant who get the highest accumulated score will be hailed as winner.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To cater talents and skills in arts develop self-confidence in one’s work.
2. To promote healthy competition among classmates in the said activity.
Mechanics:
1. The judge will choose the best entry that suits best on the celebration’s theme
and will post it during the culminating program.
2. The participants must provide his/ her white cartolina, pencil, marker, coloring
materials etc.
3. The work of the participant will be evaluated base on the following criteria.
Concept: 35%
Relativity: 25%
Creativity: 25%
Neatness: 25%
Total = 100%
3 Arts and Crafts
Participants: Students from different grade level ( 7-12)

OBJECTIVES:
1. To encourage participants to express themselves creatively through artistic and
craft activities.
2. Enhance participants artistic and crafting skills, allowing them to explore develop
their talents
3. Encourage the use of sustainably and eco-friendly material in arts and crafts
promoting environmental responsibility.
Mechanics:
1. Registered participants will provide their own materials (recycled materials)
2. All entries must align with the Science Month Theme, reflecting the importance of
science and technology in health, livelihood, order and the future.
3. Artwork of the participants will be judged using the following criteria;
Creativity - 20 %
Relevance to the theme - 25%
Craftsmanship - 25 %
Use of materials - 20 %
Visual impact - - 10 %
Total 100 %
4. Damath
Participants: Students from different grade level ( 7-12)
Facilitator: Ms. Florentino J. Gorpido
Date: October 19, 2023
Time: 7:30 am onwards
OBJECTIVES:
1. Enhance participant’s mathematical skills, including problem-solving, critical
thinking, and computation;
2. Foster a love for mathematics and lifelong learning by making math engaging
and fun.
3. Provide a platform for participants to challenge themselves and compete in a
friendly and supportive environment.
Mechanics:
1. Participants for each grade level will provide their own damath board and chips.
2. The in-game toss coin will decides the player that makes the first move.
3. A player is not allowed to make pass, and two players take turns in moving a
piece.
4. The games duration can either be endless or timed, but each player has 60
seconds to execute a move.
5. The player with the greater accumulated total score becomes the winner of the
game.
5. Sci Dama
Participants: Students from different grade level ( 7-12)
Facilitator: Ms. Merlie L. Gorpido

OBJECTIVES:
1. Promote critical thinking by requiring students to make strategic decisions and
solve problems during the game;
2. Encourages students to apply their understanding of various science concepts in
a practical and engaging manner;
3. Provide a platform for participants to challenge themselves and compete in a
friendly and supportive environment.
Mechanics:
1. Participants of the game will provide their own Sci dama board.
2. To start the game, toss a chip/ coin to decide who moves first.
3. The two players alternately take turn in moving a piece. ( Pass is not allowed)
4. Touch move shall be observed in the game. A player who touches a chip is
required to move unless it is illegal to do so.
5. After making a move, a player shall record his move in one scores sheet only.
