MLC - Karnataka Legislative Council Elections

Attention Graduate and Teacher Voters:-


Karnataka (MLC-Vidhana Parishad Election) is going to be held in upcoming June 2024...
Registration is mandatory for all graduates and teachers to vote / qualify in this election. Last
date for voter registration process is 2023 November 6.. Fill up Voter Form 18 for Interested
Graduates, Voter Form 19 for Interested Teachers Fill up Voter Registration of Local Electoral
Officers.

Local Election Officers in their respective constituencies have been contacted to get more
information about Graduate and Teacher Legislative Council Elections. Or visit Chief Electoral

Constituencies of Graduates where Karnataka Legislative Council Elections will be held:-
1. Karnataka North East Graduates
2. Karnataka Southwest Graduates

To register names for graduate election:-


Graduates must download form 18 given below by 6th November 2023 and fill it with correct
information and submit the application along with correct documents to the local election
authorities and make voter registration mandatory.

Instructions :-
1. If applications are sent by post to the Designating Officer, the applicant should attach a copy
of his degree along with his application. The certificate/mark sheet should be duly self-attested.
2. If the applicant submits his/her application directly in person before the Designated Officer,
the original copy of Degree/Certificate/Mark Sheets should be shown.
3. Any false statement or declaration in the application submitted by the graduate shall be
punishable under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

To register name for teacher election:-


Teachers must download form 19 given below by 6th November 2023 and fill it with correct
information and submit the application along with correct documents to the local election
authorities and make voter registration mandatory.

Teachers should download Form 18 with proper documents and apply.


Instructions :-
1. Teachers should have at least three years of secondary school or above experience in an
educational institution during the previous six years.
2. A certificate from the Head of Education should be attached with every application Form 19
for registration as a voter for the teachers constituency.
3. The following is the format of certificate certifying by the institution that he has worked as a
teacher for a total period of three years in the last six previous years:-

Mr./Ms./Ms.____________________________ is teaching on regular / temporary / contract


basis in _________________________________ Institute for a total duration of
___________________ with fixed grade pay of Rs.

(a)*As per the records of the organization, he / she has been continuously engaged in this

(b) *As per the records of the organization, he/she has been engaged in this organization for the

2. Dates of Commencement of Service and Retirement of Teachers:
(a) Service Commencement Dates; (b) Date of retirement.

4. In case of a person not engaged in teaching on the date of application, the certificate should
be signed by the Head of the Institution.
5. Bulk applications submitted in person or by post will not be considered for inclusion.
However, Heads of Institutions may pass
6. In case the applicant submits his/her application directly in person before the Designated
Officer, the original copy of Degree/Certificate/Mark Sheets should be produced before the
Officer.
7. Any false statement or declaration in the application submitted by the teacher is punishable
under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

Aspirants who want to contest in Graduate and Teacher Constituencies in this election can
download Voter Recommendation Letter given below from Utama Prajaka Party official website
or mobile app and fill in nine points in Voter Recommendation Letter. Make sure that you are
bound and then collect recommendation signatures from eligible graduates and teachers voters
who are registered as voters for the Graduates and Teachers Elections and submit the Vidhan
Parishad Election Application form with relevant information and documents on the official
website or mobile application of Utama Prajaka Party.

Observe the following instructions carefully:-

1. Aspirants who want to be a Utama Prajaka party candidate in Vidhan Parishad elections
should familiarize themselves with complete information about Vidhan Parishad elections.
2. Must be fully aware of and adhere to the principles of Prajaakeeya
3. Adhere to all rules and norms of Uttama Prajaakeeya party
4. A person is allowed to submit one election application and if more than one application is
submitted, such applications will not be considered for any reason.
5. All the information given in the election application should be adequate and all the documents
should be correct - clear
6. Self bear any necessary election related expenses as incurred for election
7. Voter's signature-phone number and copy of graduation certificate or teacher's ID must be
compulsorily collected along with voter's recommendation letter (photo of signature collection
should also be uploaded while applying)
8. Applications of such aspirants shall not be accepted or rejected if the aspirants are found to
be involved in any activities contrary to public order and outside the good will of the public.

15th January 2024 is the last date for submission of Vidhan Sabha election election application
form on the official website or mobile application of Utama Prajaka party with appropriate
information and documents on the official website or mobile application of Utama Prajaka Party
by collecting recommendation signatures from eligible graduates and teacher voters for Vidhan
Sabha election as voter recommendation.
