Covering Letter

I would like to apply for your position as a part-time Customer Assistant and become
part of your team because, given my experience with customers in IKEA, my
availability and my desire to work, I consider myself qualified to fulfil all the
responsibilities and duties of the position. At the moment, I am finishing my master’s
thesis and I am looking for a work that can allow me to combine my studies with a
source of income. The opportunity to be part of your team gives me that chance. Also, I
am really interested in joining your team because I like your values as a company as
well as I saw, every time that I do groceries in your markets a great work environment
in which I think I could fit.

Furthermore, the experience gained in other internships and jobs such as working as an
assistant librarian in Universidad Autónoma of Madrid or salesman in IKEA has given
me the ability and aptitude to assume and satisfy the responsibilities of the job. Taking
the internship as an assistant librarian in the library of my first university in mind, I had
a great experience from the very beginning just by undertaking my training due to the
team which I worked with. There I developed the ability and the pleasure to work as
part of a team and relate to students, teachers, and visitors. Furthermore, when I worked
in IKEA I was part of a team with which I had the pleasure to learn how to
communicate both with customers and colleagues, in order to understand, fulfil and
even exceed their needs, as well as keeping track, organising and creating an excellent
work environment able to undertake all demands. In order to be successful in both work
experiences develop a creative, friendly, patient, calm, caring and adaptable attitude
towards customers and students was unavoidable. Additionally, my duties in IKEA
involved the organisation of shifts, shipping, customer care, as well as processing
refunds and complaints. Taking all of these experiences into account and the passion
that I will bring while working in something that I love, I consider myself as a good
candidate to be part of your team, which I would more than gladly be a part of.
