required to stop by B a police officer. While B was interrogating A, A suddenly gave a
spanner blow on the B's head mainly with the view to making good his escape. The spanner
blow given with considerable force lead to skull fracture and severe damage to the brain.
B was taken to the hospital, where two operations were performed to remove blood
clots. B died in the hospital a week after the incident. The doctor certified that the injury was
sufficient in ordinary course of nature to cause death. For what offence can A be
prosecuted? Give reasons
Q2. Due to rivalry arising out of landed property between A & B, A caused multiple injuries
to B to teach him a lesson. B was hospitalized, treated and discharged. When B was on his
way to recovery he became negligent about his medicines. He therefore developed fever and
septic of 2 wounds. B died a week later. State the liability of A.

failure and told his wife(19) to end his life. The wife could visualize
the grim futility of living without him and consented to her being killed first before
the Dasarath takes his own life. Thereupon he kills his wife with a sword and attempts to
take his own life but fails as other intervene in the meanwhile. Can he be prosecuted for and

Q4. X and Y, two students of local college were in love with same girl G. X requested Y to
stop taking interest in G but Y refused to oblige him. In order to disfigure Y’s face
permanently X attacked him with a knife. Y while warding off the blow on the face got deep
cut on his shoulder. The wound was stitched by the doctor and stitches were removed after
six days. Y was advised not to exert himself for another 12 days. What offence, if
any, has X committed?
