1. CHEMICALS
We are storing a variety of hazardous and
non-hazardous chemicals on site in packages
and bulk quantities.
Do not touch any packaging or walk
through pools of liquid.
Safety showers, eye wash stations and first aid
facilities are available on site.
2. ALARMS
There are 2 alarms on site.
On hearing the Fire alarm, a continuous
tone, gather at the fire assembly point.
On hearing the Toxic gas alarm, an intermittent
tone, a member of the site personnel will advise
you on the course of action. If you are inside a
building close all windows and doors and do
not leave unless advised to do so. When moving
locations check the wind direction using the site
windsock.
3. SITE TRAFFIC
There are a number of vehicles moving about the
site such as road tankers, lorries and forklift
trucks.
Where practical, pedestrian routes have been
established on site for your use.
Remember that the visibility of drivers of
commercial vehicles is often restricted. Vehicles
have priority on site. Give all vehicles a wide
berth.
4. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Minimum PPE requirements outside of office
areas are:
• Hard hat
• High visibility jacket
• Safety glasses
• Arms and legs to be covered
• Suitable footwear

5. PERSONAL SAFETY RULES
No mobile phones to be used outside the office
areas unless intrinsically safe.
Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.
Eating and drinking in canteen areas only.
6. TASK-RELATED DOCUMENTATION
Some contracted activities will require the issue
of safety critical documentation, e.g. Permit to
Work before the work can commence.
The requirement for this documentation should be
discussed before the work commences.
