The table shows the number of students who enrolled at Manchester

University over the period of eighty years.

Overall, there was an upward trend in the total number of students enrolling
at Manchester University over the period shown. In addition, female and
abroad students who registered at this university were increasing, while it was
opposite that for male and local students.
To begin enrolling in 1937, 327 new students registered with 45% female
and 55% male students. Thirty years later, the ratio of new female students to
male counterparts was around one to two, and these figures in 2017 were
wholly contrary to the beginning period.
Regarding the student’s nationality, 55% and 6% of students were recorded
for the local people and four distinct nations in the order given in 1937. During
eighty years, the percentage of student enrollments at Manchester University
from foreign nations experienced an increasing zeal, over 30% from 102
countries, far eclipsing that from within 40 miles of Manchester (1-2%).
