Leave & Holiday Policy

1.0. Introduction
1.1. This program document may be modified, revised, discontinued, or amended at any time, in whole or in
part, for any reason and without prior notice, consent, or approval within the sole discretion of
IoTechWorld Avigation Pvt Ltd. This program document contains proprietary and confidential information.
It is solely for use by and distribution to the individuals who are subject to this program. The information
provided in this publication is for information purposes only and does not constitute a contract of
employment.

2.0 Eligibility
2.1. To apply for a leave of absence, you must be a salaried employee. Interns, temporary employees of Iotech
world Avigation Pvt Ltd as per the Govt regulations.

3.0 National / Festival holidays


1.3.1. In keeping with the National and Festival Holidays Act, India employees will be paid 10 days per calendar
year as holidays. This will be as-per a pre-published holiday calendar.
4.1. Paid Leave
4.1.1. The Company provides the following leave for all regular employees.
4.2.2. Casual Leave – IoTech World Avigation Pvt Ltd will provide
 employees with 6 days of paid casual time off, per calendar year.
 Any unused casual leave will lapse at the end of the calendar year.
4.3.3. Sick Leave – Io Tech World Avigation Pvt Ltd will provide
 employees up to 6 days of paid sick time per calendar year.
 Any unused Sick leave can be carried forward up to 3 years.
4.4.4. Earned Leave
 18 days (after 20 days of continuous service)
 Any unused Sick leave can be carried forward up to 3 years.
4.5.5. Maternity Leave (As Per Maternity Benefit Act 1961)
 Applicability: Eligibility is subject to a minimum of 80 days of working in 12 months immediately
preceding
the date of confinement.
 Eligibility:
(a) All regular female employees who:
1. delivers a baby (i.e. birth mother), or
2. legally adopts a child below the age of one year (i.e. adoptive mother), or is a commissioning
mother. Commission mother means a biological mother who uses her egg to create an embryo
implanted in any other woman.
(b). There is no minimum service year requirement for employees to be eligible for the benefits under this
policy
(c). You are eligible for a total of twenty-six (26) calendar weeks of Maternity Leave. This leave duration
also applies to a female employee having two or more than two surviving children.
1. For the birth mother – you may start your leave up to eight weeks before the expected delivery.
2. For adoptive and commissioning mother – you may start your leave from the date the child is
handed over to the adopting mother or the commissioning mother, as the case may be.
d). You will be paid at 100% of pre-leave Annual Fixed Salary (Total Target Compensation (TTC) for
commissioned employees).
c). The twenty-six (26) calendar weeks are inclusive of rest days, off days and public holidays.
1. Maternity Leave generally begins on the date requested by an eligible employee and must be
taken
continuously upon the birth or adoption of the child.
2. To minimize business disruption, after availing the Maternity leave, employee cannot take any

additional time off immediately, except for Sabbatical, if the employee is eligible. If employee
wishes to take Sabbatical before the Maternity leave, please contact HR to discuss your specific
situation.
d). If the Sabbatical expires during the Maternity leave period, the Sabbatical expiration date is extended
by
the period the employee is on maternity leave Maternity Leave
 You are eligible for a total of twenty-six (26) calendar weeks of Maternity Leave. This leave
duration also applies to a female employee having two or more than two surviving children.

additional time off immediately, except for Sabbatical, if the employee is eligible. If an employee
wishes to take Sabbatical before the Maternity leave, please contact HR to discuss your specific
situation.
(i) If the Sabbatical expires during the Maternity leave period, the Sabbatical expiration date is extended
by the period the employee is on the maternity leave
4.6.6 Bereavement Leave
The Company recognizes that employees may need time off following the death of a family member. The
Company will provide 7 days of bereavement leave with pay in the event of the death. Spouse/common
law partner, parents, siblings and children, Spouse/common law partner’s parents, siblings and children,
Employee needs to notify his/her Manager immediately if he/she takes a bereavement leave. The
employee also would need to give his/her contact details to the Manager so that Manager can contact the
employee during the absence in case of an emergency.

5.0. Unpaid Leave


5. 1. Leave Without Pay (LWP) –
a) All employees are eligible for leave without pay described below at the discretion of the employee’s
ground business leader after taking into account client service needs, office operations and any other
such factor that impacts the business.
b) During the period of LWP, the employee will not receive any compensation but will continue to be
eligible for all other benefits. In case the LWP extends beyond 10 calendar days, it will be considered as
Leave of Absence, wherein employees will not be eligible for any benefits except insurance. At the end
of 10 calendar days of LWP, if the employee does not return to work upon completion of the leave,
he/she shall be considered to have voluntarily resigned as of the last day of work unless the employee
has obtained approval for availing Leave of Absence.
c) Employee will not be paid for National Festivals/Holidays that occur during his/her LWP period.
Employees must seek approval from their Manager before availing LWP. Once the approval is obtained.
5.1.2. Leave of Absence (Medical LOA, Personal LOA on account of marriage or sudden emergency))
a). All regular employees are eligible for this program For availing the Leave of Absence Program, the
employee should request written approval of the manager. The Manager will need to discuss with the
Group Head and Human Resources and approve the Leave of Absence as appropriate.
b). During the period of unpaid LOA, the employee will not receive any compensation.
c). Employee shall only be eligible for all insurance during LOA. When the employee returns to work on the
first working day after his / her leave has expired, he / she shall not service credit for the entire leave

period. If the employee does not return to work upon completion of the leave, he/she shall be considered
to have voluntarily resigned as of last day of work unless under justifiable circumstances.

6.0. Paternity Leave


Male employees are eligible to avail of 2 weeks of PTL within 30 days of childbirth. Please be informed
that
While going on leave employee has to submit the birth certificate of his newborn baby. The said leave can
be availed twice during employment tenure.

7.1 Process For Availing of Sick Leave


 For more than 2 days of sick leave, employees have to be submitted a doctor’s prescription and
recommendation for rest. Without which you will be treated as absent.
 SL can be merged with any leave
 If any employee consumed leave before the period and if leaves the completion of the leave period extra
paydays salary shall be recovered
7.2. Process For Availing Casual Leave
 CL can be merged with any Leave in case of exigencies. While doing the same the same supporting
documentation has to be submitted by the concerned employee. Such as medical certificates etc
 Available leave in kitty can be consumed. But for additional leave, CL HOD & Directors approval is
required

7.2. Process For Availing EL / PL Leave


 EL can be merged with any Leave in case of exigencies. While doing the same the same supporting
documentation has to be submitted by the concerned employee. Such as medical certificates etc
 Available leave in kitty can be consumed. But for additional leave, CL HOD & Directors approval is
required
 If any employee consumed leave before the period and if leaves the completion of the leave period extra
paydays salary shall be recovered
8.0. Maternity & Paternity Leave
 Concerned employee has to inform HR along with the Doctors advice. Paternity leave can be given pre &
post of birth of the newborn baby.
9.0. Bereavement Leave
 Concerned employee must apply for leave HR along with the Death certificate.
10.0. Unpaid Leave
 This is completely immediate Managers’ & Directors discretion to approve. Essentially this is for medical
emergencies, Exam, Marriage etc. Concerned employee has to submit required documents.

11.0. Non-Compliance & Consequence


 In case noncompliance, the concerned employee will be facing disciplinary action
