Andres Bonifacio was born in Tondo Manila on November 30, 1863, and also known as the great

plebeian, he was the eldest out of the 6 siblings, his father were a tailor and a former tenyente mayor of
tondo, his mother was a mestiza Spanish who works in the cigarette factory. The life of Andres Bonifacio
was very hard for he and his siblings were orphaned at a very young age, he was forced on stopping at
going to school when both of his parents died; he sells abanico fan and cane in order to support the
needs of his brothers and sisters. Before he became the supremo of katipunan, bonifacio already have a
stable work in a German company, where he works as a storehouse keeper. He is meticulous when it
comes in writing the inventory and even starts to write advertisements. When bonifacio has extra
money he always like to buy a book, he is passionate in reading books, sometimes he spent the night in
reading it, and the genre that he likes to read is about the revolutionary like the la solidaridad and el
felibusterismo of Dr. Jose Rizal

Andres Bonifacio didn’t experience any abuse from the Spaniards but the thing that drives him is the
desire for the freedom of his fellow Filipinos against the abuse of the Spanish regime, so he decided to
create the Kataastaasang Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga anak ng bayan or the “KKK”. Later on he
gathered the members of katipunan to rip off their cedula known as the cry of balintawak as a sign of
starting the revolution. In balintawak they have created a plan to attack intramuros where the Spanish
government is centered, and from kangkong they started to move to pasong tamo where the house of
Melchora Aquino also known as Tandang Sora is located. Due to the miscommunication the plan of
taking over manila was failed, and mostly of them have retreated in the mountainous area of Marikina
and San Mateo. The Katipunan has been divided into two factions namely the Magdiwang and Magdalo
in the city of Cavite. Andres Bonifacio was accused of threatening the people of Indang if they will not
give him food; also he was accused of stealing money from the revolution and surrendering the
revolutionary army to the Spanish government. When the news arrived to Emilio Aguinaldo he ordered
for the arrest and execution of Andres Bonifacio Together with his brother Procopio Bonifacio on May
10, 1897.
