I still remember the first day I wore my first high heels. I was coming out of my English class one afternoon. I
was wearing my brand-new high heels and I was happy about it. Unfortunately, my happiness didn’t last very
long. I lost my balance while coming down the stairs and started to wobble. Suddenly, I knew I was going to fall.
As I fell, I grabbed on to someone’s legs to prevent myself from falling. Of course, it didn’t help and I fell
anyway. But imagine my horror when I saw what I was holding on to. It was my Islamic teacher’s jeans. I had
pulled them down when I fell. I slowly raised my head and I saw him standing with his jeans around his ankles. I
don’t know who was more embarrassed then, me or him. I will never forget this event no matter how long I live.

Example 2: Narrative paragraph

My first day at school was very terrifying and unforgettable. I was only five years old when my parents decided to
take me to a primary school. At first, everything was good. Two hours later, it was the playtime. I was standing in
the play yard all alone as I knew no one in the school. Later, a group of students came and started a conversation
with me. They were very nice. Suddenly, I discovered that I was just a part of their amusement. They had other
plans for me. I was bullied to death. I still remember all the bad words they called me which were very
inappropriate for a 5 years old kid. Few minutes later, they went away. I thought I got rid of them but in a sudden,
something very hard and sharp hit my head. It was a rock. I started bleeding and I thought I was going to die. They
took me to a hospital near the school and I made it. I didn’t die. Finally, my parents were convinced that I wasn’t
old enough for the primary school. I will never forget my first day at school

The emigration of skilled workers is a real problem for their countries of origin. Write an email to the
editor of the web site www.globaldebate.org in which you explain why these people emigrate and
suggest ways to encourage them to stay in their own countries.
All writings
Dear Editor,
The reason why I am writing this email is to share some thoughts about why skilled workers emigrate to
developed countries and to suggest some solutions in order to encourage them to stay in their countries of origin.
There are two main reasons why they choose to emigrate. The first cause is the lack of job opportunities. They all
have their diplomats and some of them even graduated with great degrees. However, they can’t find jobs. As a
result, they suffer from unemployment. The second cause is the low income or salary that they get once they are
lucky to finally find a job. Therefore, they find it difficult to live an appropriate life. There are many solutions to
encourage skilled workers to stay in their countries of origin. First, providing more job opportunities can help cut
down this phenomenon. Second, they should be given an appropriate salary so that they can live in good
conditions. Once the government provides these solutions to them, they won’t decide to emigrate to other
countries.
I am looking forward to hearing from you
Yours sincerely

All writings
Using bicycles as a means of transport has become popular worldwide. Some people prefer to use a
bicycle for its advantages. However, some think it is not useful at all because it has disadvantages, too.

On the one hand, using a bicycle to move from one place to another has many positive sides. First, it
is an inexpensive and the cheapest means of transport. Everybody can afford to buy one. Second, it is good for
health as we move a lot of muscles while riding a bicycle. Moreover, people use it as a part of their daily sport
routine. Finally, bicycles are environment friendly. Using them more than other means
of transport is a way to protect our environment.

On the other hand, bicycles might not be useful in all cases. First, they are not practical in bad weather. If
there is a storm or rain, it is risky to ride a bicycle. Second, they may not be safe in busy roads. They may cause
accidents. Finally, when you need to go for a long distance, bicycles are not practical at all; you will be very tired
and may not be able to continue riding.

As a conclusion, using bicycles as a means of transport has a lot of benefits for human beings as
well as the environment. However, like any other invention, it has its disadvantages as well
