Introduction
Indonesia is a multicultural country. It includes several, religious, racials, and cultural groups.
A nation consisting of 13,000 islands, 300 ethnic groups, and 200 languages. The population is
277,534,122 (in 2023)

• Nahdlatul Ulama is an Islamic organization in Indonesia. Its membership
estimates range from 40 million to over 95 million, making it the largest
Islamic organization in the world. NU is also a charitable body funding schools
1 and hospitals as well as organizing communities to help alleviate poverty.

• Muhammadiyah is the oldest and a reformist socio- religious organization in


Indonesia. It was established in 1912 by Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan in the city of
Jogjakarta. Reformist means that Muhammadiyah aims to adopt a modern
