 POLICY STATEMENT
Ballyfabs International Limited is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable,
the safety regarding any fire incident to all employees, workers and any other persons who
may work on, visit, or use its premises, or who may be affected by its activities or services.
The organization takes its fire safety duties seriously. For that reason this Fire Safety Policy
has been formulated to help this organization comply with its legal obligations to staff and
visitors under the Regulatory and statutory laws implacable.

 OBJECTIVE
The objectives of the Policy are to ensure that:
 All stakeholders associated with this organization which includes employees, temporary or
occasional workers, visitors and also equipments and material and building are safe and
secured from any sort of fire incidence.
 All sorts of resources are protected from accidental fire

FIRE SAFETY POLICY


 Fire fighting equipments are in good and usable condition all the time.
 Protection from damage, lose due to fire for of sorts of organization property, clients or any
other third party property.
 Risks regarding fire are properly identified, assessed, recorded and managed.
 All legal, regulatory and contractual requirements and standards are met.
 These objectives shall be achieved through the implementation of Fire Safety Policy in
proper well managed manner.

 SCOPE
The Policy applies to all employees, workers and any other persons who may work on, visit, or
use its premises, or who may be affected by its activities or services. Also includes any form of
materials belongs to others which are held in the custody of, or used by this organization.
The organization accepts its obligations to comply with the laws as applicable.

 ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY


Organization will issue official documents signed by proper authority to designate officials as
Security Officer.
Given below the Roles and Responsibility Matrix for all relevant person/post associated with fire
safety process.

 In the normal course of their work all staff will ensure
that they, and their associates, visitors and other users
of the premises, keep exits and lobbies clear of debris,

 Report any hazards or defective or missing fire safety
equipment to Security Officer
 Attend training session organized by authority

 RISK ASSESSMENT
 Security Officer with the help of other competent person shall make, record, review and,
where applicable, revise Fire Safety Risk Assessments at regular intervals.
 This should also be carried out if there has been any significant change in the physical
layout of a building or staircase or a change of use.
 The Security Officer may require occasional external assessments and may contract
competent organizations to do this work.
 The Fire Safety Risk Assessments must take into consideration everyone who may come
on our premises, whether they are employees, visitors or members of the public.
 Particular attention will be paid to people who may have a disability or anyone with special
needs.
 Departmental in charge have their duty to identify all hazardous substances and other
potential or actual hazards, and inform the security officer to incorporate these into Fire
Risk Assessment.

FIRE SAFETY POLICY


 Ballyfabs will ensure that any person it employs (directly or indirectly) is provided with all
relevant information related to fire safety and consult with employees on matters of fire
safety policy and arrangements.
 Staff will be informed of any changes that are made to the fire safety procedures and fire
risk assessments.
 Fire safety information will form part of the induction training for new members of staff.
 The Organization will also ensure that all visitors to the premises will be given information
regarding the evacuation procedures and not left alone unless they are aware of, and
familiar with, all available escape routes.

 TRAINING
 All the new employees will be given training on Fire Safety as per the “Training & Guidance
Document” designed by the organization.
 Routine training will be given to existing employees time to time
 Personal with specific responsibilities are separately given training (as a reminder) about their
responsibilities.
 All training records will be maintained
 Staff training is provided covering the following:
o Evacuation Plan
o Risk Assessment
o Use of Fire Equipments (Selective employees).
o Whom to report any incident
o What to do in any incident
o Where are the switches to activate siren
o What to do when siren will buzz.

 REVIEW OF POLICY
 The Policy will be reviewed by the Organization every year or more frequently if necessary.
 The review and suggested amendments will be initiated by the Security Officer and approved
by Management Representative
 The ‘Roles & Responsibility Matrix, Training & Guidance document’, will be reviewed at least
annually and at any other times when changes may be necessary.
 The Organization may make such variations to these procedures as it sees fit, subject to
informing relevant employees and following normal principles of reasonableness and fairness.

 DOCUMENTS
This organization documents and keeps records to prove responsible actions regarding fire
safety. The records detailed will be kept in good order, up to date and available for scrutiny at any
time in Ballyfabs premises by security officer.
