Hi friend,

I hope this exercise helps you reflect on 2022 and plan for 2023 ahead. Just grab a
notebook and a pen and go on a mini-date with yourself.

Keep your phone and anything that distracts you away.

Take out this time for yourself. Only you, and for your future self.

Now, let’s get started.

PS: There’s a special launch offer as my new course, LinkedIn Ultimate Content
Mastery is available for pre-orders. Use the code PREORDER. Click here to get it.

💭 Reflecting on 2022
1. How was your year?

2. What were your highs? How did you feel?

4. What/ Who made you the happiest?

✍ Write a Letter to Your Future Self

Without dreams and goals, there is no living, only merely existing,
and that is not why we are here. - Mark Twain

Picture this.
You’re sitting at the end of 2023.
How do you feel? What have you accomplished so far? What are you thinking?
Write a letter to your future self sitting at the end of 2023.
This may sound silly to some of you, but it will help you set a intention for the year
ahead.

🎯 2023 - Let’s do this.

Write a list of 3 things you want.
1. Choose one, for now.

2. Write 3 small steps that will help you get there.

3. What will you do in January to help you get closer to that goal?

Similarly, do it for other goals too.

Step #3 is what we’ll do every month, more on this soon.

2023 Goal Setting 2

Write down your wishes in the following areas:
1. Financial

2. Personal

3. Health

4. Work

Think of yourself as somebody who has achieved all the goals that
you listed.
What does that person look like? What are their habits? What is a day in their life?

1. Write those habits

2. Plan on how you can incorporate them in your life

If you are on the creative side, create a vision board.

Just type ‘vision board’ on Canva and you’ll see templates. I’ve used this template as
my phone and desktop wallpaper.

New Practices [Highly Recommended]

I’ve been doing this since 2020 and vouch for it. It only takes 5 minutes of your time.

At the beginning of each month, write:

1. What are your goals for this month?

2. Your plan to achieve them.

2023 Goal Setting 3

This also gives you an opportunity to keep changing the path to achieving your annual
goals. And in fact, also change your goals altogether because as you grow, you may
realise what you initially thought isn’t for you.
And that’s okay.

Keep your goals fluid.

At the end of each month, write:

1. How was your month?

2. What did you achieve?

3. What were the challenges you faced?

4. Anything else you want to write.

At the end of each week, write:

1. How was your week?

2. What worked and what didn’t?

At the beginning of each week, write:

1. Goals for this week.

This may look overwhelming to read, but it will only take 5-10 minutes to do this.

The issue is that most people never reflect on their path and don’t see where they’re
headed. Don’t be like most people 🙂

I hope this helps you kick off your week!
