FUEL WATER SEPERATOR DRAIN – SHINRAI PRIME

OUTLINE
This is to educate the dealers/customers to drain the water/sediment from Fuel water separator. Whenever
water level indicator lights up in the monitor.
Make sure that customers and dealers understand the maintenance procedure as instructed in this service
bulletin.

APPLICABLE MODELS

SHINRAI PRIME BACKHOE LOADER

INFORMATION
Location of Fuel Water Separator:

Fuel water separator was located on RHS of machine main frame mast and side of engine oil level dip
stick.

PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE INTERVALS: Whenever water level indicator lights up in

the monitor. Refer below image.

PROCEDURE TO DRAIN FUEL WATER SEPERATOR:

Warning: Drain the water fuel separator into a container and dispose of in accordance with local environmental
regulations.

1. Position the machine on level ground and lift the machine from ground level with the help of front
loader and Backhoe attachments.
2. Shut off the engine.
3. Pull the lock of water in fuel indicator sender connector and then disconnect the harness
connector.

4. Use your hand to open the drain valve. Turn the valve counter clockwise approximately 3 and ½
turns or until drain occurs.

5. Drain the filter until clear fuel visible.

Caution: When closing the drain valve, do not overtighten the valve. Overtightening can damage the
threads.
6. To close the valve, lift the valve and turn clockwise until it hands tight.
Important: Be sure to air-bleed the fuel system before getting the engine started.
