My selected ideas:

1. I am interested in writing about the English political system

and its key features, particularly the charter of the Magna
Carta in the 13th century and how this conceived English
Parliament and laws as we know it today. Also, with a focus
on the role of the constitutional monarchy, with a monarch
acting as head of state along with a constitutionally organized
government, the monarch does not rule but carries out
ceremonial duties; and I would include the Dicey separation of
powers and how this works in the UK government. I feel like it
would be a good topic to discuss the pros and cons of the
system, I think there would be a lot of material to be able to
discuss this thoroughly.

2. The other topic I am considering writing about is

intergenerational welfare dependence. Predominantly how in
many communities the same issues that result in welfare
dependence appear to pass down from generation to
generation. I would address the problems with this and then
present possible solutions to this dependence and how this
could be overcome.

3. The final topic I am considering writing about is the problem

of the death of the high street and possible solutions to end
this. With the rise of internet shopping and the online world,
we have seen the death of many major high-street brands and
shops that haven't been able to compete with the pricing and
convenience that online offers. Many much-loved businesses
have gone, and I would present solutions on how the high
street can still be saved.
