Managers and teams are under a great deal of stress during the recent covid 19 pandemic. What social media

policies do you seem “ Fit for purpose “ under current circumstances of post pandemic situation faced law firms

INTRODUCTION:

The covid 19 pandemic causes great challenges in the corporate world, even the majority of law firms faced

challenges who didn’t adopt the advance technical tools.The physical legal process was disrupted. Firms that

were unable to advance their strategies for dealing with the covid 19 pandemic slowly lost their key clients.
Because of the pandemic-driven economic downturn, many law firms fired employees from various departments

in order to cut costs, and many key lawyers and other staff members used to work from home and had grown

accustomed to it.

SOME LAW FIRM BACKDROP FACTS AND FIGURES DURING THE PANDEMIC: After the

pandemic hit law firms and legal departments , THOMAS REUTERS found the industry had lost 64,000 jobs or

5.5 % of its total employment ( a nearly 20 year low). BLOOMBERG LAW found that around half of the top

100 companies cut salaries or hired fewer staffers, among other cost cutting measures .

The number of law firms that have reduced their office space in recent years has also increased because of

financial pressure and changing needs . A report from commercial real state firm Cushman and Wakefield,

Bright Insight: The 2020 National Legal Sector Benchmark Survey Results , found that firms that renewed or

signed new leases in 2019 decreased their occupied square footage by 10.6%. They also found that more than

half of the over 900 firms that participated expected their firm’s real estate portfolio to shrink by over 10%

because of covid 19.

Many folks have been consuming their time mostly using social media . Companies like FACEBOOK and

NETFLIX have saw a record-breaking usage during the covid 19 pandemic period .So here law firms can seek

an opportunity and can benefit themselves from this shift in consumer behavior. One of the best and most useful

way to get benefit from it is to update pages on social media sites like FACEBOOK , LINKEDIN,

INTSAGRAM , TWITTER AND YOUTUBE .

STRONG BUSINESS PROFLE ON GOOGLE :One can also make a strong

google business profile to get the attention of client as more as it can .A remarkable profile can help one seize the

top spot i.e. top page , which will in turn maximize the CLICK THROUH RATE ( CTR).

GOOGLE LOCAL SERVICE AD’s: The usage of GOOGLE LOCAL SERVICE Ads will help one

achieve the BADGE GUARANTEED by GOOGLE .This badge is

so special that after the attainment of it , the searching and potential clients will know very easily that one is

honest and trustful guy .

OTHER THAN SOCIAL MEDIA : Other than social media law firms can use websites related to

entertainment and news to bargret advertisements on it related to the promotion of that law firm . This will help

in such a way that if customer is using that specific site will see the advertisement and will remember it . The

opportunity for their own benefit .

social media manager must add some personal touch by promoting coversations with old as well as new clients .

The social media manager of law firm should market the legal service of the law firm in such a way that instead

of marketing and promoting law firm directly , he must market about law firm that ‘WHO WE ARE?’( as law

firm ) and ‘WHY SHOULD PEOPLE TRUST US?’. The clients should have access to the law firm through

Certain reports says that about 78% of the people watch onlne youtube videos every week and 94% of businesses

that already use youtube videos will keep using it . So keeping these facts and figures in view , law firm can use

youtube platform and talk about their legal service and experiences .But the selling tone will not help the clients

feel connected to the law firm .The laser sharp focus should be on the point that what sort of help can you offer

to them to ease their legal difficulties rather than trying to sell out the legal . The expressing tone in youtube

videos makes a great difference . Also talk about the successful tales and events in your legal diaries of law firm

in legal arena .People seeking legal aid of the lawyer and the law firm and in dire need of knowing the history of

Understanding of the Audience : That content should be made and encouraged that keeps the lawyers

CASE OF FAR DISTANCES ):

There are large number of clients who want to help legal help regarding immigration issues may contact

their lawyer via the above-mentioned apps for timely execution of legal help and distance factor deficiency is

also fulfilled . As people also like face to face communication do not mean that they should stop using social

media and teleconference apps like Facetime, Google Meets, Zoom. Future clients will mostly be made through

social media .These personal connections will in turn uplift the likelihood of referrals and conversions.
THE LAW FIRM WEBSITE SHOULD BE MOBILE FRIENDLY:

Law firm should make and use mobile friendly website .Not too many legal and technical jargons should be used.

There is a report that says that more than 3 billion people own smartphones around the world . Out of those 3

billion smart phone users , 298 million live in United States of America . People of different ages uses smart

phones for different purposes, i.e from playing games to ordering pizza .They spend the least time on the social

media sites that are not mobile friendly or cannot be used using smartphone . The law firm website should be

accessible so that results from it are record breaking and remarkable .

THE TARGET AUDIENCE SHOULD BE FIGURED :

A law firm can create posts that go viral and get viewed by a million people and still be wasting valuable time. It

doesn’t matter how many people read a post or watch a video if none of those people have the potential to become

or influence clients. A post that resonates with injured cyclists in Maine does a firm no good if the firm practices

divorce law in Oklahoma.

Choose a preferred social media platform:

It is essential to define a target audience before choosing a social media platform because it makes sense to use

So to get the same speed of business as things open up, we need to do what is that we can effectively take on new

clients and reap the benefits of this increase in business before our competitors do. So to achieve this we should

have some policies.

As the world was totally running through online when there was COVID, now things are getting Normal but the

world is still stuck in online. Now world is not totally running online but hybrid system is followed.

As we have a challenging years, its important to work on how our law firm has evolved and what we have learned

from these tough years. The pandemic compelled our law firms business to face tough challenges. The strategies

which lawyers used to overcome them will take our business with success into the post COVID environment.

For example, new technologies should be used, video conferencing and remote work capabilities will continue

to shape the future of the legal industry.


This world is social media world. Those businesses are successful which have strong social media influence. This

is the world of educated one’s. Before taking next step regarding anything, everyone do research about that thing

and most of research conducted are through social media. So to run law firm in best way social media popularity

is important.

First of all made social media pages and pay already influencing pages to promote our law firms pages. If possible

hire a special staff whose only job is to look after these social medias work.

To gain popularity, start social welfare projects, which will be supported by our law firms. These may include

cleaning city dirty places. We can look after street animals specially dogs. Giving legal support to needy one free

will be helpful. Distribution of food or clothes to needy one’s. These are the things which are admired by everyone

because everyone loves the work done for humanity. This will boost our law firms name and one can see rapid

increase in the number of clients.

The pandemic compelled law firm to rely more heavily on technology than ever before. Online payments system

to video conferencing and virtual hearings. Most of the firms experienced positive effect by adopting such tactics,

they are trying to improve this more. There are two very helpful legal tools

• Electronic Payment :-

We can use social media to convey the message of availability of electronic payment to our law firms. With the

increase in the volume of cases and the need of faster collection of pay, because no one have time to waste in

bank so he can take money from there and pay. Electronic payments have been beneficial for law firms. Electronic
payment expedites revenue collection, whether used to collect consultation fees, advanced fee deposits, or other

types of payments needed when first working with clients. This have one advantage of the ability for people to

pay remotely, which is vital when social distancing guidelines are in place. Attorneys also be able to give

discounting legal fees through development of automated payment plans for clients.

CONCLUSION :

To put in a nutshell as a result of the foregoing, it is clear that the stress experienced by law firms during the

Covid 19 pandemic can be successfully addressed by employing strong social media strategies. Regaining key

old clients, retaining current clients, attracting more clients in the future, and reaching the position of top law

firm in the region can only be accomplished through social media as well as the law firm's quality and timely

legal services.
