Symptom
Is it possible to deactivate (switch off) Business Functions in SFW5?
It depends on the type of the business functions (reversible or not).

Environment
SAP ERP systems

Reproducing the Issue

SFW5

Cause
Activated the Business Function by mistake.

Resolution
First of all, confirm if it is a reversible or irreversible business function.
Click 'Display Legend' to confirm the icon of each business function. Both reversible and non-reversible business function
have icon 'lighting bubble'. But when business function is in deactivated status, their icons are different.
Please make sure the type of the business function before activate it.
After the business function was activated, in order to confirm if it is a reversible business function, please refer to the column
'Planned Status'.
Reversible Business Function shows a checked checkbox. Uncheck the checkbox and click the 'activate changes', it could
deactivate the business function.
Before SAP_BASIS 740, it is impossible to deactivate reversible business functions in a productive system. From SAP_BASIS
740 SP14 & SAP_BASIS 750 SP02, it becomes possible to deactivate reversible business functions in production systems. For
details, please refer to SAP Note 2340595 - Switching off reversible Business Functions in production systems.
Irreversible Business Function shows 'Business func. will remain activated'. The reason is because de-activation will lead to
data loss, which is not supported by SAP. So A database restore/recovery is necessary if a Irreversible Business Function has
been activated by mistake.
It it not recommended to activate or deactivate business function in a productive system directly.
