Section B

Read the leaflet below and use the information to answer the question on page 3 of the Question
Paper.

Types of Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)

Welcome to all new students! As we are starting the new academic year, let’s look at other activities
the school offers. Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) provide the chance to develop existing interests and
discover new ones. Look at the information below to help you choose which CCA you would like to
try.

SPORTS

Would you like to take up a new sport or perhaps get

better at one you already do? Boost your energy levels,
get fit and even enter competitions! There are options
for team and individual sports, for example, basketball,
gymnastics, and many more.

UNIFORMED GROUPS

If you want to help the community and work in a team,

then a uniformed group such as Red Cross Youth or
National Cadet Corps could be just the thing for you!
Gain confidence and independence as you develop
practical skills which will be useful even when you leave
school.

CLUBS AND SOCIETIES

Find new friends who share your interests such as

debating, cooking or computer games, and take your
skills to the next level. Members of clubs and societies
enjoy improving their skills and building new friendships.

VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

Whether you are keen on drama, dance or music, you will

find plenty of opportunities to be creative and perform.
You might also discover talents you didn’t realise you
had.
