REASON

NEW SOLID STATE FLAP POSITION AND FLAP HANDLE TRANSMITTERS HAVE
BEEN INTRODUCED FOR THE DC-10, KC-10A, KDC-10 AND MD-11

BFGOODRICH AEROSPACE (ROSEMOUNT AEROSPACE INC ) HAS DEVELOPED AND

ATTAINED THE REFERENCE (B) STC FOR FLAP POSITION AND FLAP HANDLE
TRANSMITTERS USED ON MD-11 AIRPLANES THIS AOL SUPERSEDES AND
REPLACES REFERENCE (C )

TGH Avlation Products developed and attained the reference (a) STC for flap position and flap handle
transmitters used on the DC-10, KC-10A, KDC-10 and MD-11 airplanes The TGH transmitters may or
may not meet Boeing performance, design, development, test, and compatibility requirements for
equipment installed on DC-10, KC-10A, KDC-10 and MD-11 airplanes

It has been demonstrated that the BFGoodrch transmitters meet the Boeing performance, design,
development, test, and compatibility requirements for equipment installed on the MD-11

The TGH and BFGoodnch transmitters are both electrically and mechanically interchangeable with the
existing transmitters
