The myth of “Hojarasquín del Monte” provides
an interesting way to explore the interaction
between natural sciences and cultural beliefs in
Colombia.
Through the narrative of this mythological creature,
the importance of the conservation of fauna and flora
in Colombian ecosystems is highlighted and how
stories can transmit messages about the relationship
between human beings and nature.
