1st Amendment:

"No law can be made that establishes a specific religion or prevents people from practicing their
own religion. People can speak freely, share their thoughts, gather together peacefully, and ask
the government to fix problems."

2nd Amendment:
"Because it's important for the security of a free country to have a well-prepared group of citizens
who can protect it, people have the right to own and carry weapons.”

3rd Amendment:
"During peaceful times, soldiers cannot live in someone's home without the owner's permission.
During war, if it's necessary for soldiers to stay in a house, the way it's done must follow the
laws."

4th Amendment:
"People have the right to feel safe with their bodies, homes, papers, and belongings. Law
enforcement cannot search or take them unless they have a good reason supported by a promise,
and they must say exactly where they're searching and what they're taking."

5th Amendment:
"No one can be made to answer for a serious crime unless a group of citizens, that is the grand
jury, says there is enough evidence. A person can't be put again for the same crime after being
found not guilty. No one can be forced to speak against themselves in a criminal case. No one can
be punished or have their life, freedom, or property taken away without a fair legal process.
Private property can't be taken for public use without fair payment."

6th Amendment:
"During criminal trials, the accused person has the right to a quick and public trial by a fair group
of citizens, that is the jury, from the area where the crime happened. They must be told what they
are accused of and have the chance to see and question the people who are against them. They
can ask for people to support their side and have a lawyer to help with their defense."

7th Amendment:
"In lawsuits based on common law where the amount is more than twenty dollars, the right to a
trial by a jury will be protected. The facts decided by a jury cannot be reexamined in a different
court unless following the rules of common law."

8th Amendment:
"Unfairly high bail, huge fines, and cruel or unusual punishments are not allowed."

9th Amendment:
"Just because some rights are listed in the Constitution, it doesn't mean other rights not listed
aren't important. People have other rights not specifically mentioned that are still very
important."

10th Amendment:
"The powers that the Constitution doesn't give to the United States or doesn’t allow the states
from having are for the states or the people to have. This means the states or the people can have
these powers."
