That’s All, Folks!!

Assignment: Research one of the folk songs from the list below and create a short
musical documentary about it. Your video should include both narration and text to tell
the story of the song, its roots and origins, its importance and relevance to the genre, its
best known performers and/or performances, and a visual montage or acting out of the
message/meaning/narrative that it portrays. You will earn 50 Assessment points per
requirement, 300 Assessment points total.

Requirements:
1. The video must be at least 3 - 5 minutes long.
2. There must be narration of some kind.
3. There must be text of some kind.
4. There must be an explanation of the origins and history of the song and why it is
considered important or classic enough to be on this list.
5. There must be examples (can be a short clip) of at least three versions of the
song from three different eras or performers.
6. There must also be an edit of the song with either images that represent the
lyrics or else a video of you and/or your friends either, lip syncing to the song,
actually performing it, or else acting out the narrative.
