‘Classic brownie’

The ‘brownie’ is a chocolate cake, typical of North American cuisine, which receives this name
because of its dark brown color (‘brown’ in English). It is sometimes served with melted chocolate
and can contain nuts, chocolate, peanut butter, etc. We propose the most classic version in this
recipe.

INGREDIENTS

75 g of chocolate chips

56 g of Butter

2 units of eggs

100 g of white sugar

1 cc of vanilla extract (Nielsen Massey)

95 g of sifted pastry flour

0.25 cc of sea sal

PREPARATION

1.We heat the oven to 180ºC.

2.We grease a baking mold measuring 20 cm x 20 cm.

3.We melt the chocolate chips and butter in a bain-marie, over low heat, stirring constantly.

4.Remove from heat and let cool.

5.Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla in a bowl until light and fluffy.

6.Add the melted chocolate and flour and stir to mix.

7.We pour the dough into the prepared mold.

8.Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with chunks of
crumb, not liquid.

9.When it has cooled, we cut it into 5 cm x 5 cm squares.

10.If you want a variant, you can add 150 grams of white chocolate chips, milk chocolate, semi-
sweet chocolate or peanut butter to the dough before baking.
