ALPHA CENTAURI SYSTEM

Good Morning Sir/Madam My Name Jacob and

My Name is Parikshit We are going to explain
about Alpha Centauri System it is a triple star
system. The system is situated at a constellation
named Centaurus. It is 4.2 light years away
from Earth even if we take the fastest rocket it
would take 6,300 years to travel to Alpha Now
let’s see the biggest star of the system Alpha
Centauri A it is 1.1% bigger than our sun and
emites light 1.5 times brighter then our sun so,
it is a G class sun. Centauri. The second star of
the system is Alpha Centauri B it is. o1 %
smaller than our sun it emites 50 % of light of
our sun it is a K class Hun they both are 23 AU
far from each other they both met at a point at
different time orbit connected to each other so
they are binary star system they take 80 years
to complete on revolution the smallest star of
the system is Proxima Centauri it is fifteen
thousand AU far from Alpha Centauri A and B.
It is eleven times bigger than Jupiter and emites
15 % light of our sun it is a m class sun. There
are three planets revolving around it. First found
planet is Proxima B which was thought to be
habitable but, it may be not be habitable because
it may be Tidally locked to its sun one revolution

takes 11.2 days to complete. Proxima C is called

mini-Neptune it is unhabitable because it is too
far from Proxima Centauri. It takes 1928 days
(5. 28 years). The last found planet is Proxima
D. It is first planet near to Proxima Centauri. It
is unhabitable because it is located too close to
Proxima Centauri. It takes 5.1days to complete
one revolution.

Conclusion: It is closet star system to our solar

system. It is a triple star system and has three

planets.
