OUR SOLAR SYSTEM

sketch
The universe is unfathomably big, just as an example,
scientists separate the universe in two, the Observable
Universe and Unobservable, the Observable Universe is
the part of the skies whose light actually reaches us. If you
hold a pin and extend your arm into the skies, the area
covered by the pinhead contains hundreads of thousand
of galaxies, each with millions of solar systems and so
goes. Our Solar System is the one that we know the
most(even though we don’t know much about it). There
are 7 planets(sorry Pluto) which orbit the Sun, in order:
Mercury, a rocky and small planet with extremely high
temperatures, with a circunference of 15.329 km.
Venus, an even hotter planet, in fact the hottest
planet in the Solar System, that has a circunference
of 38.025 km.
Earth, I think you know this one, the blue and green
one, with an equatorial circunference of 40.075 km
Mars, our closest neighbour, known as the red planet,
has a circunference of 21.344 km.
Jupiter, skipping over the asteroid belt, we reach the
gas giants, Jupiter being the biggest one, and in fact
the biggest planet in general with a circunference of
439.264 km.
Saturn, the ringed giant, considered the most
beautiful, with a circunference of 378.675 km.
Uranus, not the farthest from the sun, but the coldest
with an equatorial circunference of 160.590 km.
Neptune, the farthest planet from the sun(not
considering dwarf-planets), with an circunference of
155.600 km
