AMERICO SCOLARO 01.01.1989 – 30.05.

1956

Engineer and industrialist from Turin, after World War II he was one of the
main architects of the reconstitution of Turin Freemasonry together with the
doctor Carlo Angela, whom he succeeds as venerable in the Propaganda
lodge at the end of 1948.

Main referent in Piedmont for the freemasonry of Palazzo Giustiniani, Scolaro


is involved in various initiatives of a social nature, in particular the
strengthening of the Evening Workshop Schools of Turin.

Anti-fascist, member of the Action Party and the Liberation Committee


National, during the Resistance his home in Reano, where you can listen to
Radio London, is a point of reference for many young people engaged in
partisan struggle.

Between the end of the 1940s and the first half of the 1950s he was active on
the Council management of the AMMA arriving to also assume the position of
vice president; as a representative of the mechanical industries he is a
member of the executive council of the Industrial Union of the province of
Turin and is a member of the initiative committee for the Union Italian-French
economy.

He is also a councilor of the Higher Institute of Social Psychology, a councilor


of the Officine Serali Schools and president of the Administrative Commission
of the National Corps of Young Italian Explorers.

Active supporter of the movement cremationist, in 1948 he joined the board of


directors of the Turin Cremation Society. Amerigo Scolaro died in Turin on
May 30, 1956 at the age of 67. His body is cremated on June 1st and the
ashes placed in the Crematory Temple.
